This site collects as little as a website can. It has no accounts, no forms, no advertising and no analytics.
What is collected
When you load a page, the web server records a standard access log: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser identification string your browser sends. These logs are used only to keep the site running and to diagnose problems, and are deleted on a rolling basis by the hosting provider.
Cookies
The public pages set no cookies. The only cookies used are those WordPress sets for people who log in to edit the site, and those never apply to visitors.
Third parties
Fonts, images and scripts are served from this site’s own server, not from a font or content delivery network, so no third party sees your visit. Links to other websites, such as journal articles, are ordinary links; those sites have their own privacy policies.
If you email the address on the contact page, your message and address are kept only as long as needed to reply and to act on any correction, and are not shared with anyone.
Changes
If any of this changes, for example if analytics are ever added, this page will be updated before the change goes live.
